Stickle Ghyll Scramble
Running down from Stickle Tarn in the Langdale valley, Stickle Ghyll is one of the most popular ghyll scrambles for good reason! The lower section of the ghyll runs at a steady angle with plenty of fun and challenges leading up to the bridge. For the more adventurous participant, not far beyond here the ghyll becomes much steeper and opportunities to climb steep water falls are available. Before you know it, you are high on the side of the Langdale valley and the walk back to the car rewards you with some spectacular views!

What to expect:
In these open sessions, expect to meet like-minded adventurers! Your instructor will meet you at the venue and sort everyone with the relevant equipment. You will then receive a safety briefing and be guided in the ghyll. Our Instructors will add challenges and keep an eye on everyone as you journey up the ghyll. Depending on the time of year, this can be a pretty chilly activity, but makes up for that by being incredible fun! The activity will last approximately two and a half hours, including time for changing at either end.
Minimum Age: 7 Years We can facilitate much younger children Ghyll Scrambling in private bookings. Please get in touch if you have younger children and would like to Ghyll Scramble.
